One campanile—and Palladio's beautiful church of San Giorgio Maggiore—seen
from another, the San Marco belltower, of course. We're on our
way back to reality today. I know I'm feeling just as François Mauriac
did when he said, "On ne quitte pas Venise . . . On s'en arrache."
(You don't leave Venice. You tear yourself away.) |
Oh, that's so true, about tearing yourself away. Dark glasses are required wear upon departure.
ReplyDeleteSo, until next time ....
Oh, true, true....glad you enjoyed yourself, and as Yvonne said, 'until the next time....' (I am going to Paris in February, so.....)
ReplyDeleteTear yourself away and tear yourself away. {As in the weepy variety.} Yes, those dark glasses Yvonne suggests are a good recommendation. Safe travels home, Alexa.
ReplyDeleteAww...all good things must come to an end - but then you are left with such happy memories and we get to hear all about them too, I hope!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see your pictures Alexa.
Safe home please.
