Shadow Shot Sunday

Early morning, crossing the Brooklyn Bridge,
and the street lamp loomed large.  As you
can see from the drawing below (an illustration
of  the opening day of the bridge), they've
kept the original design for almost 130 years.

  2. Can't believe I've been to NYC once and didn't take time to go and walk on the Brooklyn Bridge !
And I've had a famous poster with it during all my years of college !
God only knows when I'll have this opportunity again.....

  3. I always think of our walk across a couple of summers back. This is a great photo of an unchangeable place.

  4. Alexa, the place is timeless and you have captured the shadow of the lamplight perfectly!

  5. Great Shadow Shot!! The lamp post made a wonderfully clear shadow.
I have never been to NYC. It looks like a very interesting place with lots to do and see. I would probably take so many pictures there that I would need three or four memory cards for my camera.
    Thanks for sharing!!

  6. A really beautiful Shadow Shot, Alexa, and I love the old illustration, too. Reminds me of that expression, "If it's not broken, don't fix it."
