| One of the things to love about New York: Here at Lincoln Center, they film the operas that people pay big bucks to see at the Met, then show them in the summer in hi-def on this screen—so all of us po' folks may enjoy as well. They also showed the first-night performance of this year's season on this screen (and on another one in Times Square). Thank you, Met Opera! [And you can see more "music" here.] |

Well, that's a really good idea for us monetarily-deprived!
ReplyDeleteWhen I was in college in Atlanta, the Met performed each night for a whole week in May. I was thrilled to be able to attend one or two each year and then on Sunday at the end of the week, a few of the principals sang at the church on Emory's campus (free).

Love the windows and the scene. And it's great that they show the performances later so more people have a chance to experience it.
