Ruby Tuesday

The Brooklyn Botanic Garden (my "backyard")
recently celebrated its 100th birthday,
and all members were invited to the party, which
featured music that was popular around
100 years ago. The band was totally into it—
especially this guy with his bright red piano!

  1. Great idea ! Great shot ! It seems that there is always something going on in BBG ! I have to add it to the list for my next visit to New York, whenever it will be .....

  2. I’m not entirely surprised that this is a hundred-year-old popular song.

A 5:33 minute clip on YouTube here showing that it still has legs.

But for your Ruby Tuesday maybe this “Red Pepper: A Spicy Rag,” also from 1910, might be more appropriate, and it goes quite well with your Mr. Ruby Piano.

  3. That boater hat took me back ~ my dad's band wore those for certain occasions, quite some time ago!

  10. A red piano! Now that sure is an attention getter. This is such a great idea for a party celebrating 100 years.
