Thursday Challenge—"leaves"

This time last year, I had just returned home
from Paris, where I took this shot of a carpet of fallen
leaves in a pretty little pocket park in the Marais.
As happy as I am to travel to Paris, today I'm grateful to 
be right here where I'll enjoy a turkey dinner with 
family and friends.  If you're celebrating Thanksgiving, 
I hope you're with the ones you love too.

Blue Monday

This is the color I always think of as French blue;
appropriate here—this little café/restaurant
is on rue d'Ormesson, in the heart of the Marais.
It was too chilly to be part of this pretty
al fresco vignette, but I notice they were offering
up chocolat chaud (and the all-important WiFi).

Light the Christmas lights!

I love Christmas lights displayed in all kinds of
ways—found these festive lumières at the
Paris boutique Muji, a fun store in the Marais.

ABC Wednesday—V is for "vines"

Right now Paris is covered in colorful
vines.  This building in the Marais
was just dripping with them.

Thursday Challenge—"peaceful"

A place of worship is almost always a peaceful place.  
This one is the church of St. Paul–St. Louis, in
the Marais.  When I last saw it, in 2011, the exterior
was pitch black.  It has since been given a
well-deserved cleaning and bright red doors.

In Paris lately, I just couldn't stop myself
 from snapping every vine I saw.  This one came
with a little bonus, and I knew I would use it here.

I'd love to be right where I took this picture:
