Père Lachaise Cemetery:  a nice place to visit
but I wouldn't want to live there.  Well,
actually, I would—just not any time soon.

Thursday Challenge—"peaceful"

The shells I showed you on Monday were
found on this rocky beach—a very peaceful spot
on a chilly almost-spring Sunday.
(The beach is in Greenport; that's Shelter
Island across the Peconic River.)

Thursday Challenge—"peaceful"

A place of worship is almost always a peaceful place.
This one is the church of St. Paul–St. Louis, in
the Marais.  When I last saw it, in 2011, the exterior
was pitch black.  It has since been given a
well-deserved cleaning and bright red doors.
