Weekend Reflections


Finally made it to the beach for the first time
all summer, and even though I live very
near some of the best beaches in the Northeast,
I wound up traveling all the way to North Carolina 
to walk barefoot in the sand.  Whatever—it was heaven!

  1. As you were taking the photo were your toes aware of any tunneling sand crabs? Nice that you finally had the chance if only at the tail end of the summer (no sand crab pun intended).

    No people. It almost makes me wonder what the wave, the remnants of which we see, looked like a few moments before the shutter click.

    Walking barefoot on the beach in summer. Paradise. Might we even say Shangrila(s)?
