At the gift shop in the Dali Museum in St. Petersburg, Florida, is this "burning giraffe" model based on ones in some of his paintings (and his film L'Age d'Or). They also have small stuffed versions that you can buy for all the surreal children in your life. [To see more ABC posts, go here.] |
Both surreal and eye-catching. Dali would be proud. But somehow I feel that I would have an easier time wrapping my head around an image of giraffes in a more natural habitat.
ReplyDeleteGood choice for this week..... do you mind if i say that i like the living animals more ;-)
