Thursday Challenge—"heat"

My brother and I were visiting his friends at their
gorgeous home in the wilds of Idaho.  The mood was 
very relaxed as we sat around the fire pit—until our hosts 
told me that the main reason they'd built it was
to discourage the local bears from coming too close.
Say what?? This city girl wasn't feeling quite so chill then!

    This is certainly warmer than yesterday's photo! I would have preferred that your friend had said, "...to discourage the local bears from coming." The "too close" part would have made me feel they're just-a sittin' there, not far...

      I know—I lived in La Carihuela 45 years ago (when it was still a tiny Spanish fishing village) and never encountered a single oso!
