abc wednesday —L is for "lace"

I was fascinated by this piece
of lace that was started long ago but
never finished.  I snuck this shot in
the Correr Museum, which is dedicated
to the life and culture of Venice.

  1. I'm wondering who started that lacework and why they stopped. I tend to think procrastination is a modern trait but perhaps it was alive and well long, long ago.
