I was fascinated by this piece
of lace that was started long ago but
never finished. I snuck this shot in
the Correr Museum, which is dedicated
to the life and culture of Venice.
I'm wondering who started that lacework and why they stopped. I tend to think procrastination is a modern trait but perhaps it was alive and well long, long ago.

What an intricate and beautiful piece of work. Unfinished but still a lovely piece and I love the spindle with thread too.
