That's Our World

These young men are from the Lubavitch Hasidic sect of
Judaism, which has its headquarters in the Crown Heights
neighborhood of Brooklyn, not that far from where I live.
They are sent out to talk to less conservative Jews
on the street, apparently to make them aware
of the joy of returning to more traditional practices.
Don't know how successful they are, but
they seem happy.

  1. So, the headquarters of the Chabad in my neighborhood is in your neighborhood. Small world!

  2. I have never seen this sect, I guess. I am certain I'd have remembered their headgear.

  3. Those white stockings on the one gentleman are a little shocking to see! And, yes, the headgear is memorable.
