Venice in winter: an early-morning sky and

I barely saw the sky, with such beauty distractions in its way. :)
To respond to your question, no I wasn't expecting winter in Maine to be so beautiful. We had a very mild winter last year and I was still adjusting to life up north so I didn't do a whole lot of exploration. This year, we got a lot of snow as did everyone else in the NE. I am also more settled with my new life here that I began to explore beyond my immediate boundaries. :)
Alexa, that is a beautiful shot of one of my favorite churches in Venezia. I'm trying to figure out exactly where you were standing when you captured it.
I knew immediately that this was Venice... Your photos perfectly capture both the atmosphere and the details of that lovely city...
