ABC Wednesday—H is for "hands"

 . . . and also for Hungarian.
These are the very talented hands of
my favorite young artist, Maté Orr.

And here's a detail from a painting (Maté is his
own best model) that was hanging
up in
his Budapest studio on the day we went to visit.

égeszségünkre!

. . . which means "to our health!" in Hungarian.
This glass of rosé was enjoyed at the Ari Kupsus
Gallery, in Budapest, where I bought a (very) small

painting by my favorite Hungarian artist,
Maté Orr, a lovely and very talented young man.
(I was introduced to Maté by my wonderful
new friends, Jane and Lance Hattatt, who
featured him on their own blog.)

Thursday Challenge — "creativity"

There were crowds all around this artist
on the riva degli Schiavoni, on the lagoon in
Venice—but he was very focused on what he was
doing. I can't tell if he's an amateur
or a pro, but I like what he has there so far.

Skywatch Friday

This church is in Springs, an East Hampton
community with a thriving art scene.   In fact,
I was there for a gallery opening where
the works of my talented friends
Jim and Jana were showcased.

art in the park

Went to Central Park, and just on the short
walk from the SE entrance to the zoo, I
saw all of these people drawing,
 sketching,

or painting something.
(My friend Shell
would have fit right in!)
