inSPIREd Sunday


Seen from the Doge's Palace, this
is one of the domes of the
basilica San Marco.  Would love to
see what's inside those domes,
but not in the summer—it must be very
hot under all that lead.

  2. If you do manage to get in from the outside up there watch out for that first step. It’s a doozy.

    1. I remember a view of the interior construction of the cupola at Vaux-le-Vicomte. Something like this. Perhaps there is a similarity in construction with these cupolas. Access would probably be about nil here, however.
