The Weekend in Black and White

This very tall plant grows in the tropical
conservatory at the botanic garden,
and it is . . . papyrus.  Who knew that's
what it looks like?  I didn't.

  1. Great use of black and white. It looks like it came out of a fine-arts printing press.

Stylized as columns papyrus can look like this then or now as found at the Temple of Amun at Karnak. But c’mon, papyrus?

  2. Fine patterns in that papyrus plant.
