Weekend Reflections

I borrowed this bucolic reflection from
my daughter Lila, who got in a boat and rowed
out on a pond to capture this shot of
her friends' home north of New York City.

  3. I like how Lila kept the clouds and sky relegated to the reflection. I am curious about that central structure. With so few windows one could be forgiven thinking it had some kind of utilitarian function. That mowed “path” of low-cut green grass is intriguing also. It isn’t a road: no tire or foot ruts.

I got really dizzy when I turned my head upside down to check out a “right-side up” view.

Are those cattails waving at the edge of the pond? I can almost sense them waving back and forth, but the blood rushing to my brain when I was upside down caused a kind of visual anomaly.

  4. This is so beautiful! With my luck the wind would start blowing the water just as I clicked the shutter.

  6. Nice. I like how she has kept the beautiful sky in the reflection only.
