The Weekend in Black and White

Rome can be surprisingly quiet at night—
at least in the un-touristed areas.  I love
its back streets and shadowy alleys
and feeling like I have the city all to myself.

  1. The covered bridge makes me think of the Venetian Bridge of Sighs.

Apart from the relative quietude of cities in the middle of the night, the air can be refreshingly less polluted also, I find.

If the keys had been left in that vehicle to the left I can imagine what you might have gotten up to.

As hauntingly atmospheric as this image is, I can’t help feel that something is missing.

  4. B&W is the perfect choice for this shot -it's like this road is your own private piece of Rome. Warm regards.
