ABC Wednesday—H is for "hookah"

Passed this restaurant on LaGuardia Place, in the
Village, recently.  I'm seeing more and more
places where you can top off your meal
with a few drags on a water pipe.
Is this a trend where you live as well?

  1. Cool shot. We just had a smoke shop open across the street and they sell all sorts of hookahs and water pipes and such. I think there are a couple of hookah parlours in the neighborhood, but I don't get around much, so I don't know for sure. But I hear it's the popular thing now.

  2. A modern hookah! Here hookahs are made of brass.

  4. A hookah bar was shut down in Farmingdale awhile back. I can't remember the reason but prior to that I remember my son's baby sitter talking about going to one and that had to be at least 7 years ago. Ian just told me about there being some hookah bars in Providence as well. I guess it's a trend that is sticking?
This pipe is lovely to look at. Nice shot Alexa.

  5. Well, there ARE hookah bars in the US, but none that I've seen were open-air establishments. But it was only a half dozen or so - last one I saw in Newport, Rhode Island.

  7. Quite the shot - I wonder how many people actually take a drag.

I haven't noticed any hookah bars around here. But that doesn't mean there aren't any....

  9. This really is very easy to all of the those that watch this site. Stop e cigs, trying vaping or shouting on concerning the liberties of smokers. Just stop smoking and yourself will not be rotting your lungs Vapeadores.
