While I was up in Massachusetts recently, I visited some old cemeteries. This one is more or less in what is now someone's backyard. They can't complain that the neighbors are noisy, can they? |
Besides, those "neighbors " were there first. [To see more shadows, go here.] |
Can't say I'd like being quite so close, but it's rather peaceful looking seen here in the light of day. I hope you're having a lovely weekend, Alexa.
ReplyDeleteWonderful...I love perusing old historic treasures such as this cemetery. 1680?!! Whoa!!!!

Have a glorious Sunday. Hope to have you as a visitor today when you find time.
The cemetery there looks not scary to stay at night. lol. Happy SSS.
ReplyDeleteThe people in the cemetery aren't doing any complaining either!
ReplyDeleteA SEEKER OF SHADOWS
A seeker of shadows, they say,
Will keep her eyes peeled night and day
For resident shades
That haunt the dark glades
And never come outside to play.

So true! :)
ReplyDeleteI think that this is lovely and we have some small cemeteries in our area in the midst of homes built in the early 20th Century...
ReplyDeleteSo glad that there was not an attempt to move the cemetery in favor of progress.
