what so proudly . . .

I'm still overwhelmed with emotion over our historic election.
Dug into the archives to find this shot of the
flag over the Brooklyn Bridge (taken the day I met
PHX-CDG/Lynn, my friend from Paris Daily Photo).

  1. That's a great perspective and framing of the flag. I confess, I worried that the election would not be on the up-and-up (again), so I had a photo in waiting for a bad result. About a month ago, the local chamber of commerce mistakenly ran their flag up the pole upside-down. I snapped a photo, and keep it handy, just in case.

  2. uselaine -- SO glad you didn't have to run that (and hope you never do). Confess I was afraid it might be a repeat of 2000.

  3. I hear you, ladies!

Uselaine: inauguration day might be a good time to use the upside down (Bush leaving) with the rightside up representing, well, you know. :)

  4. What a nice tribute to country and friends. Cool photo angle too, Alexa. Sorry I've not been around much to be a regular contributor but Uselaine and Cali have stepped up to the plate (;-) Of course, you know I'm a HUGE fan of your blog. BTW What's the temp there? Here in the Midwest, highs only in the 40s tomorrow. Brrr!!!! Winter is indeed on the wing.
