let's make history

At 11-something on 11/4, I can't begin to tell you how
proud I am of my country for electing Barack Obama
the 44th president of the United States.  It was an incredible
campaign and a victory well-earned.  It won't be easy, but
let's move ahead and become friends with the
rest of the world once more.

  1. Congratulations !
What a day (night for us) !

It is certain that there won't be a miracle. He'll have a lot to do to compensate those last 8 years but HOPE is back.
It seems most of the rest of the world is happy for America and it has been so rare for years that it is already a victory !

The only bad thing for you is that you're running out of excuses to fly back to France and marry Eric, LOL !!!!

  2. I'm with you Alexa...it's time we again started cultivating friendly relations abroad, rather than being the big bully in the eyes of many. Barack O'Bama is an amazing individual (of course, the fact he's from Chicago is a plus, too...ahem) and I really do think he will try to right the course we've been on the last 8 troublesome years. GO BIG O!

  3. Hi, Alexa. I am so happy Obama won. Last night there was a big pre-election get- together here organized by the US Embassy at a conference hall; Serbs, expats, diplomats were invited to follow the coverage, and to 'vote." Obama then earned 4 times as many "votes" as McCain, so it's pretty obvious who was the most "wanted" man. Hurrah!
