my favorite part of the garden


. . . is the bluebell wood—at least for the short time 
in May when the 40,000-plus bulbs bloom, 
carpeting the ground with their bright blue flowers.

  1. I like the both way you have that stalk in so many degrees of blossoming: from the tiniest bud to fully open and ringing, and how the variation in focus gives such depth.

    I just read that they can last two weeks. Enjoy! (As if you would remotely need such an exhortation).
