Took this shot of the skylineof lower Manhattan shortly before we came in for a landing at LaGuardia Airport. It's home and I think it's beautiful—even when it looks like this.
When long ago I lived near L.A. my attitude was, “If you can somehow make out the mountains it’s a clear day.” Unlike the times it was barely or im- possible to see across (not down) the outdoor corridors at my junior and high schools.
So, yes, this is a refreshing, sparkling-clear view of lower Manhattan compared to a view such as this.

There is much to love about Manhattan, but the air quality isn't one of them. But it works great for your photo.
