Last weekend in the garden, the bluebell wood
was in bloom—and also wisteria,
azaleas, and tree peonies.  I hardly knew where 
to look (and point my camera) first.

. . . is the bluebell wood—at least for the short time 
in May when the 40,000-plus bulbs bloom, 
carpeting the ground with their bright blue flowers.

Just in time for this challenge, the bluebell wood
in the Brooklyn Botanic Garden has burst
into bloom again.  So just how many
bulbs are planted here?  More than 40,000!

It's that time of year, when the
bluebells are in bloom at the
Brooklyn Botanic Garden. They're
pretty sweet on their own ...

and just amazing when you
multiply them by 40,000-plus.

The bluebell wood . . .

. . . is in bloom right now, and it's
 as gorgeous as ever.  Truly, when 
40,000+ bluebell bulbs come out 
all at once, it is a sight to see!
