A glorious southwest Virginia sky—in honor of my mother, who was born and raised there and whose 96th birthday is today. [To see more skies from around the world, go here.]
No wonder the years of her first decade were called “The Roaring Twenties.” And she was just getting a start. Although I have never met her I am sure she is a person rare, precious, and sparkling as, oh, I don’t know what. But it must be something as beautiful as that sky.
