inSPIREd Sunday

This is my favorite portal on the façade
of the Basilica San Marco
in Venice (and I believe the only
one that retains its 13th-century mosaics).
Check it out—there is a lot going on here!

  1. They don’t make ’em like they used to.

It took me the longest time to spot St. Mark’s body in the coffin held by the bishops with their croziers, and below and to the right of Jesu.

  2. The façade of the Basilica San Marco is wonderful!
    Great photo, Alexa!

  3. Beautiful photo. Have a wonderful Sunday.

  4. That is a great detail photo of this iconic church.
