Unless you log at least a million air miles a year—or, like me, you happen to be traveling with someone who does— you're not going to see this stairway in one of those "special" lounges at CDG. (I really missed it the next time I came through that airport, without my privileged pal.) [To see more b/w pics, visit Dragonstar's meme.] |
So, I guess this means we are a million miles from somewhere here.
ReplyDeleteWow. This could be a classic. Like something by Man Ray. And with that spiraling eye, i.s.n.’.t...i.t....h...y...p...n...o...t...i...c...? H.y..p...n....o.....t......i.......c..........?.............H.....................y..................................
Wait a minute. A million miles a year amounts to 20,000 miles a week (with a two-week vacation during the year). Is your erstwhile traveling companion a pilot or attendant? A high-profile, trouble-shooting diplomat? A migrating snow goose that, due to global warming, can’t find a place to land?
ReplyDeleteFool that you are Tall Gary, she may have simply been incorporating excessive exaggeration to indicate excessiveness.
DeleteIt does make me think, with fond nostalgia, of PHX-CDG Lynn.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful geometry offered by reality. Nice shot. And it's an interesting blog... happy to discover it
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful spiral! Quite special.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful b&w.
ReplyDeleteJust one word: AWESOME!
ReplyDeleteHave a fine weekend.
