The Weekend in Black and White

Unless you log at least a million air miles
a year—or, like me, you happen to
be traveling with someone who does—
you're not going to see this stairway in one
of those "special" lounges at CDG.
(I really missed it the next time I came through
that airport, without my privileged pal.)

ABC Wednesday—D is for "Duty-Free"

This overpriced (duty-free or not) little item
would make an interesting addition to my
Eiffel Tower collection.  So did I buy it?
I did not—fortunately, someone already
gave me one of these.  I never shop the
Duty Free; I hang on to my leftover euros
and just assume I'll be back.  So far, so good.
