The "prow" of the triangular Flatiron Building, where Broadway and Fifth Avenue intersect at 23rd Street, is devoted to (always interesting) art installations. Currently featured are hand-cut sculptures of iconic Manhattan buildings— the work of the artist Christina Lihan. [To see more Weekend Reflections, visit James's meme.] |
Hand-cut? Wow!
ReplyDeleteThe triangular flatiron building has always fascinated me, and I think this exhibit would be highly enjoyable.
ReplyDeleteWhoa! Masterpieces. Not easy to do.

ReplyDeleteOutstanding! I love the way the inside and reflected worlds come together.
ReplyDeleteThis is amazing. I like the wording above about the ghosts of the buildings. That a great way to word it. Awesome post.
ReplyDeleteGreat looking art installation, especially with the reflections you caught in your photo. New York is always an interesting place.
ReplyDeleteLooks like someone was so taken with the paper version of the Flatiron Building (as am I) that it is being hoisted and carried away. I almost wish I was outside the frame to the left to receive it.
ReplyDeleteThat is cool. It looks like the building on the left is being carried!
ReplyDeletesuper art and super reflection...I love that there are people in the reflection!
ReplyDeleteCool reflections. Have a wonderful weekend.
ReplyDeleteMindblowing reflections!
ReplyDeleteLove the subject and the reflection.
