the bamboo wood

Apparently, this is the little
boat
that Monet rowed out in to
capture his water lilies in all their glory.
(stay tuned . . .)

  2. Wonderful reflections! That little boat must have been cared for very well.

  3. Your photo has terrific patterns. I'm surprised that this little boat can still float after all this time. Is that a sail?

    1. It does look like a sail, but if you click on the photo to enlarge it you can see that it is actually a tree trunk within a couple sail-shape-making bamboo culms. It also explains the non-bamboo-leaf leaves.

Still, that sail shape has me imagining Monet windsurfing or something.

  4. Beautiful picture, and on the contrary to Monet without any colors. So I have to use my imagination.
