The Weekend in Black and White

I saw these men in the Nyugati Railway Station,
in Budapest.  It could be a dramatic story,

I suppose—or maybe (and I hope this is the case)
they were just two tired workers waiting
to catch their train and go home after a long day.

  3. Great human interest but maybe the two gentlemen in the photo might not wish to be seen as such. It seems to me (often wrong) that they have way too much luggage to be workers (what would I know?). But there is definitely a kind of, “What am I going to do now?” vibe. The dark/light contrast in your photo is well balanced and impressive.

  6. Actually this immediately reminded me of an incident I experienced on a train in Tokyo. A couple of co-workers (not mine, of course) had gotten in a fight on the platform which carried over onto the tracks. As the train entered the station there were a couple closely succeeding thumps one could feel (I was in the first car near the front). A man was crouched on the platform with an expression much like a combination of your two guys as we passed in front of him. It took about twenty minutes or so to remove the remains.
