Shadow Shot Sunday

Just through this gate (coming from the
Japanese Hill and Pond Garden at
the Brooklyn Botanic) is their famous
Cherry Esplanade—two allées of cherry trees
that were planted after WWI, a gift from
the government of Japan.

  1. At first glance this gate reminded me of one on the campus of the university I was an exchange student at.

Yours is bright sunlight with vivid shadows. Mine is mostly in shadow with a few dapples of sunlight: Yin and Yang (Japanese in and 陰陽)。

  2. There is a bit of mystery in your photo as one never knows what will be beyond the gate. Well done.
