inSPIREd Sunday

About a month ago, I showed you the
interior of St. Etienne de Mont, which is right
next to the Pantheon, in Paris's 5th arrondissement.
The exterior is pretty, I think, but gives no
hint of the beauty within.

  1. I rather like the exterior and the manner in which it contrasts its interior. I can understand why you have kept coming back to St. Etienne de Mont. Warm regards

  2. I like the asymmetrical quality of the upper regions. That cupola at the top makes me think of a mashup of Mont St. Michel and the Loire Valley Chateau Chambord.

It’s nice to have views of the exterior and interior of St. Etienne de Mont both accessible right here. Your contrasting the exterior with the interior now makes me liken the church to a geode.

  7. I think it would be safe to assume that the architect wanted to make a statement. It worked. Love the entrance with the rose window above it; fabulous.
