ABC Wednesday—L is for "lock"

This one is on the back door of the Saint-Paul–Saint-Louis
church in Paris.  I wonder if it's the original; if so,
then it's somewhere between 373 and 387 years old.  And
that makes me wonder if they still have the key.

  2. If it is lost, this lock would be easy to break, though I hope that doesn't happen. I knew someone once in Paris who swiped keys of famous monuments like the Arc of Triomphe, Notre-Dame.... Caretakers just used to leave them hanging in the keyhole....

  3. I love captures of bygone eras! The coloring, rusty texture and age make this especially lovely. Great find!
