Autumn red

I live a five-minute walk from the
Brooklyn Botanic Garden, but last weekend
I visited the NY Botanical Garden, which is up in
the Bronx.  Considering that it's almost November,
I was a bit surprised at how many different
plants were in bloom—including these beauties.

[It's Ruby Tuesday; to see more, go here.
And for more flower macros, visit NF/Blo-Ma.]

  1. I don't think I've ever seen a flower quite so brilliantly red before!

I keep hearing about these flowers in the Bronx. I'm feeling like maybe I should go visit too.
