Hard to miss

This looks like a hibiscus, which I always
thought of as a tropical flower—but I found t
his
big, bright red bloom right here in Brooklyn.

  1. Hi Alexa!! Beautiful shot of this bright, happy flower. It certainly looks like a Hibiscus, the central part is quite distinctive to that genus.

  2. I don't know what this one is, but it's beautiful. Here they call the Rose of Sharon a 'wild hibiscus'.

  3. I grew up with hibiscus growing in our yard, but now there are all kinds of hybrid ones being sold at the garden stores. This bloom is somewhat different from the ones I was used to seeing but it is beautiful. Lovely photography. genie
