I counted these stairs as I climbed them—there are 386, from the trail we were hiking up to the town of Corniglia, in the Cinque Terre. (There is a shuttle bus that will bring you up from the train station down there, but somehow that seemed like cheating.) [To see more of the Thursday Photo Challenge, go here.] |
That is a very long way down!
ReplyDeleteI think I would cheat andtake the train.
ReplyDeleteI think I can, I know I can, I think I can... I could drink as many cioccolate calde as I could squeeze in if I was climbing these regularly. Gorgeous view, Alexa!
ReplyDeleteWow! My legs would have been very shaky if I should have gone up or down these stairs. Great shot!
ReplyDelete:)
It looks beautiful..near the sea.
ReplyDeleteThat's a lot of steps -- and a cool photo.
ReplyDeleteI live on the fifth floor, no elevator. There are 111 steps up and I go up (and down, of course) about four times a day... I call them my step machine. I also think twice if I have everything with me when I go down. That said, somehow these stairs all at once seem more daunting.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to go and hike in the Cinque Terre. Never been. What a shame! Maybe this autumn...
ReplyDeleteAnd I thought my stairs were long (162 steps)! This is a great photo!
ReplyDeleteWow that is is an impressive set of stairs!
ReplyDeleteI'd take the shuttle. That's about 300 steps more than I care to tackle. I admit it I'm a wimp and out of shape. (Lumpy)
ReplyDeleteI have to do this one
