A pile of peppery radishes at the Farmers' Market— I learned in France that they are delish all by themselves but even better if you cut the sharp flavor with a bit of butter. Trust the French, who know that everything tastes better with butter! [Today is Ruby Tuesday. To see more, go here.] |
I love the blue bells! The radishes are good too!
ReplyDeleteLove the colours :)
ReplyDeleteWhich one is it? I love Union Square Farmers'market, where I always stop in my meanderings, for some yummy ginger cookies!
ReplyDeleteThey look very healthy, Alexa, and I'm all for a touch of good old natural butter with reasonable frequency! {And thanks to Pierre, I need some ginger cookies.}
ReplyDeleteI have always loved radishes - just like they are...or in a tuna salad, or any other kind of salad! I have never heard of eating them with butter though! This is a lovely bunch of radishes!
ReplyDeleteThese radishes are so beautifully displayed! Love the cascading effect! Very eye catching!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Gemma, the way they're displayed is beautiful
ReplyDeletePierre -- this is the Farmers' Market at Grand Army Plaza, in Brooklyn—held every Saturday just a few steps from my house. Not quite as big as the Union Square market, but there's bread, fish, meat, cheese, flowers, and other good things in addition to veggies.
ReplyDeleteSo fresh! And delicious I bet.
ReplyDeleteThis pile of red radishes is artistic! Thank you for the fresh feeling.
ReplyDeleteI think they are definitely better with butter on a slice of crunch baguette. And as Gerard Depardieu said to Queen Latifah in Last Holiday, "The secret of life is buh-tair'. How true.
ReplyDeleteDelightful photo with the shapes, textures and colors!
ReplyDeleteThose are some nice lookin radishes. I like making a radish sandwich. Bread, butter, sliced radish with a little salt. Yum. My husband thinks I'm crazy. Oh well.
