It's been hot here this past week, with the
temp hovering near 100°F (38°C) some days.
I was so tempted to join this kid! [To see more Shadow Shots, go here.]
I must echo everyone else - that is a fantastic photo! I love everything about it, but mostly the wonderful golden color of it and the sheer joy that emanates from it. It's fun and beautiful and definitely refreshing! And I also agree that you should join in next time, even if it means buying a waterproof camera. :-)
I hope things cool off for you soon! It's supposed to hit 100º here today, but at least it's a dry heat (that sounds so trite, but it's oh-so-true) and we have cool mountain breezes by sunset. I feel so sorry for all the people and critters who have a hard time finding relief from that oppressive heat and humidity.
Thanks, y'all! I think this picture is just the happy result of one lucky photo blogger + one joyful child who were both in the same place at the same time. :~}
I like this site and saw it on Google search. And for it I like to appreciate for blogging about this and looking forward to reading more on your site.
It's been hot here too....105 heat index....this is such a refreshing, and most perfect, summertime photo. Love the colors.
ReplyDeleteMy shadow this week is of a horn cleat [what you use to tie up a boat at the dock]

Pure, unadulterated joy!
ReplyDeleteTALKING SHADOWS?
Imagine a shadow could talk
In whisper or rumble or squawk;
Just what would it say
To make you go, “Hey!
You’re just a chip off the old block!”?
