Skywatch Friday

You can see Michelangelo's "David" all over
Florence.  This copy (in bronze) is up on the
Piazzale Michelangelo, overlooking the whole city.
There's another one in the Piazza della Signoria
but the original now lives in the Accademia,
well-protected from the elements.

Here's (original) David's close-up.
(And yes, I was scolded by the guards
for sneaking this shot.  But I apologized
and was quickly and graciously forgiven.)
I could stare at this guy for hours
—and have!  Couldn't you?

  5. Very impressive. I'm in a Bible Study right now with a group of women studying the Life of David, called "A Heart Like His"

What an interesting life he lived..the good, the bad, and the ugly. But he always returned to the good!

  6. If you were only going to get one shot, you really made it work!! You are officially a member of the "stealth" photographers club!

Love the soft colors and lighting you captured under the pressure of discovery.

    Bises,
