Skywatch Friday

Not a whole lot to say about this.  I was taking
a walk in the country,  just thought to
look up—and liked the way this evergreen looked
silhouetted against the blue-and-white sky.
Hope you do too.

  1. I do love this! It's a beautiful design created by you and mother nature.

  2. I wanted to get some pine cones for a colleague's class project, but those on the ground here are covered with snow... I like this photo.

  4. We think alike. I've taken more trees like this with the blue sky. Lovely.

  5. Pine cones are always photogenic subjects at any time of year. These are no exception!

    WHICH SKY FOR YOU?

    Which sky for you?
    One that is blue?
    Or do you prefer
    A sky that’s demure?

    A sky in grey
    Is soft, they say,
    And not everyone
    Likes the blinding sun.

    Perhaps a sky
    Through which geese fly
    To winter havens
    Away from ravens?

    A rain-swept sky
    That seems to cry?
    O quickly choose one
    Before day is done!
