Alexa...cool angle! As Cali said it does recall "An Affair" and to add to that "King Kong." Although, I think "An Affair" was probably a little more romantic. On the other hand, Kong did have a rather attractive damsel in the palm of his hand and then, like so often happens, he lost her. [tears falling here]
About 25 years ago, they put a big blow-up gorilla up there. Saw it as I was taking the kids to nursery school. Wish I had a picture of THAT. Both flics equally romantic, imho.
It still is such an icon. I like the play between the clouds in the background and the darker buildings in the foreground.
There is a story I remember about an office worker on an upper floor. There is always an updraft along the outside walls. The windows can be opened (could?) so he took one of those ancient, cone-shaped, paper water-cooler cups, experimented a bit until he could get just enough water in it so that it would float outside his window. Apocryphal?
Will we ever look at that building and not think of "An Affair to Remember"?
