Light and Shadow

I like this shot because the buildings are in shadow
while the 59th Street bridge is bathed in brilliant light,
and it all stands out against the backdrop of
those blue-black storm clouds threatening Queens.

Sunday Bridges

Took this shot at dusk from the kitchen
window of my friend's apartment. Nice view, eh?
That's the Triborough (officially the Robert F. Kennedy)
Bridge in the foreground and behind it a railroad bridge
with a very cool name: the Hell's Gate Bridge.

Haven't been here in a while, but I wanted to wish
Louis (and everyone) a very Happy Holiday!

Shadow Shot/Sunday Bridges

The Brooklyn Bridge  renovation is moving
right along—and now they have parts of it so
wrapped up that it's beginning to look like Christo
and Jeanne-Claude's Pont Neuf art installation.

Shadow Shot Sunday/Sunday Bridges

Came into this conference room for a meeting the other
day, but I had to run back to my desk and grab my
camera (my colleagues are used to this by now).
That's the 59th Street Bridge out there,
which you can see better here.

Shadow Shot Sunday/Sunday Bridges

Early on a sunny day, the cables of
"my" bridge cast some lovely shadows.

Sunday Bridges

I found these musicians on the Brooklyn Bridge (where else;
I'm up there twice a day).  That's the Manhattan Bridge in
the background—and btw, these guys were very entertaining.

Sunday Bridges

I found this guy hanging around the Brooklyn Bridge.
(I'm sorry—but can you honestly say you

wouldn't have said the same thing?)
