ABC Wednesday—I is for inimitable**

**though many have tried—and also for "I miss Eric!"
(seen here shooting his lunch at Circonstances,

a great Paris restaurant, last September).
This would have been the 10th anniversary of his

inoubliable (unforgettable) blog, Paris Daily Photo, the
very first of the genre and the one that inspired me
(and sooo many others) to start blogging.
Eric put up his final PDP post last New Year's Eve.
As much as I miss my daily dose of Paris as seen through
the eyes (and pen) of this "friendly Parisian,"
I so admire Eric for making a bold move and wish him

wonderful new adventures on his sunny island!

Congrats to Eric!

In honor of the 5th anniversary of Paris Daily Photo
(the original and still the best daily photo blog!)
today, here's a shot taken from the "famous Tenin
perspective."  We all know it's not easy to keep it
up all the time, and I really, really hope PDP keeps
marchin' on for a very long time!  Merci bien, Eric . . .

Happy Birthday, Eric!

Eric of Paris Daily Photo (aka our hero and the
man who invented the daily photo blog) is
having a big birthday today. In his honor, I've
chosen a photo taken from "the famous Tenin
perspective." Eric, this is the road that leads to
the rest of your life—see how long and straight
and free of obstacles it is! Merci bien for your
inspiration and your friendship. Have a very bon
anniversaire and many many more, mon capitain!

for the PDP gang

I've been found out (by phx-cdg), so I might
as well go public. Yes, I've been a busy girl.
But I have to say that although I've always been a
sucker for a good philosopher, Rousseau
is a bit before my time.
 Pascal Guldemann dates to
my fashionista phase.
And Belmondo—alors, what can I say?
As for Jacques Chirac—power is quite an aphrodisiac.

Seriously, that phx-cdg is a real PDP loyalist.
And she's also VERY sneaky—I love that about her!
And I'm proud to be GF for 2009!

I won!

What? A trip to Paris?  No, I snagged
the title of GF (Golden Finger) of the year
by being the first to log on tonight to my
fave blog and the one that inspired me
to do this, Paris Daily Photo.  Whether you
love Paris or not (and especially
if you do), it's the very best.
