in the courtyard


When you come through the blue gate
featured in yesterday's post, this
is the courtyard you enter.  The building is
 l'hôtel de Lalande, originally a private
residence built in 1779 and now the
Musée des Arts Décoratif de Bordeaux.

  4. I can’t think of more appropriate Bordeaux greenery than grapevines. Looks like post harvest. Must be a “red” variety. If I had to take a wild guess I might go for Cabernet Franc. But one would naturally think first of Cabernet Sauvignon or Merlot.
