in the courtyard

When you come through the blue gate
featured in yesterday's post, this
is the courtyard you enter.  The building is
l'hôtel de Lalande, originally a private
residence built in 1779 and now the
Musée des Arts Décoratif de Bordeaux.

and Our World Tuesday.]

  1. Love the contrast and textures of this photo.

  2. What lovely colors...almost Christmasy. And I was shocked to see New Year's decorations up here three days ago....

  3. Lovely color and composition in your photo!

    Wishing you a wonderful week ~ ^_^

  4. I can’t think of more appropriate Bordeaux greenery than grapevines. Looks like post harvest. Must be a “red” variety. If I had to take a wild guess I might go for Cabernet Franc. But one would naturally think first of Cabernet Sauvignon or Merlot.

  5. Love this view. Stirs up my wanderlust!

Thanks, merci, grazie, danke, hvala, gracias, spasibo, shukran, dhanyavaad, salamat, arigato, and muito obrigado for your much-appreciated comments.
