church music

I stood for a long time watching a talented
organist at St. Patrick's Cathedral
one afternoon a couple of years ago.  This was
before they did their massive renovation;
unfortunately, I don't think I'd be able to see him now.

[Linking back to The Weekend in Black and White
and to inSPIREd Sunday.]

  1. That’s a great composition. And, technology with an artistic human expressive quality. Not to mention the white/black balance.

    It kind of reminds me of an apocryphal Chinese word processor.

    I had to give it a listen but, although the organ is the same, I think the organists might be different.

  2. Wow all those knobs & buttons & levers with 5 keyboards. That must take a lot of practice to learn to play it. Great photo

  4. Church organs are amazing, and so are the organists! A fine composition.

  5. I can relate to being mesmerized by talented keyboard players. The photo is quite impressive in monochrome.
