inSPIREd Sunday

This is St. Mark's Church in-the-Bowery, in
Manhattan's East Village. There's been a
place of worship at this spot since
1660—the first was a family chapel built by
Peter Stuyvesant.  This church was
completed in 1799 (though it's been a bit of
a work in progress ever since).

  1. I love the message. Black lives do matter. Just as the principal tenet of all religions worthy of the name would agree that: All lives matter.

  4. Just looking at the picture and not reading about it, I knew it just HAD to be historical...and it is. What a beauty. I am wondering what it is like on the inside. I bet there is nothing fancy.
