Spotted in Budapest last September—this work, called "Still Life With (removable) Bacon," by the Hungarian artist Franyo Aatoth (btw, Aatoth is his first name; in Hungary names are said last first). [To see more of the Thursday Photo Challenge, visit Dale's meme.] |
Hello Alexa,
ReplyDeleteWhat fun this image is and was. The Varfok Gallery, in which this work was hung, is a favourite of ours and this is their 25th anniversary year.
It is fun to think of the four of us there with our darling friend, Krisztina.
Yes! What a treat it was to have the gallery—and the expertise of the lovely Krisztina—all to ourselves. I learned so much that day, from her AND from the two of you.
Delete...and I am ready to go back with lots of room in my suitcase for petite works of art.
DeleteBises,
Genie
Moi aussi, ma belle!
DeleteThis sure is a very special piece if art, very interesting! And very good for this weeks theme!
ReplyDeleteI could think of other things to put there besides bacon.
ReplyDeleteHaha! I like this -- and the red is so rich!
ReplyDeleteA striking, cryptic message. I'd love to know what the artist was thinking.
ReplyDeleteNice photograph too Alexa.
I am torn. Rouge or bacon? I can't choose!
