New York at Night 24: Taxi!

It was pushing midnight when I took this
shot at the corner of 8th Avenue and 42nd Street.
Well, it
was a Friday night—so it probably
looked like this at 3 a.m. too.  I did not
hail a cab (never do), but went home on the
subway—where there were no seats to be had
even at that hour.  I love/hate this city!

  1. It looks so busy, busy, busy compared to our little Lexington. The definitely picture captures the feel of NYC at night. genie

  2. Cool shot of the moving taxi and crowds. It really is a busy city, noisy but surprisingly friendly.
